Now Obama ad-Dajjal wants to put crippling limits on carbon emissions from new coal fired power plants:

There are few, if any, technologies which can capture or reduce CO2 emissions from these plants. So ... O's new regulations essentially mean no more fire (and reduced electricity for America).
Is this because O thinks we can (and need to) stop climate change, or because of the warped thinking behind statements like the following?
Giving society cheap abundant energy at this point would be the equivalent of giving an idiot child a machine gun.
Paul Ehrlich
So ... you and I are "idiot children" while Ehrlich, who was awarded a doctorate degree for the study of butterflies (not power plants or climate modeling), is a genius who can tell us what to do. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of living in a society in which people who tell themselves that they are smart and the rest of us are dumb get to decide who lives and who dies.
By the way, the most popular CO2 capture/disposal method is called "sequestration". The gas is pumped underground and "immobilized" in geologic reservoirs. One of the catches (a BIG catch) is that the process is only expected to keep the gas underground for 40 years (their definition of "permanent"), after which it may start escaping. NOT a good long-term solution.
