Why should we be the targets of "mock" attacks?

Many of you may have read this news story about a plan to release gas in the NYC subway system to "study" the effects:

You may or may not know that similar tests were run in American cities from the 1940s through the 1960s:

Were the tests safe then? Will they be safe now? How will we know? What's our recourse if they are not safe?

Human experimentation requires the informed consent of the subject(s). Did anyone ask us if we wanted to be lab rats again?

Or is the government going to suspend the Nuremberg Code along with the Constitution because we're so scared?

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.
