Who our children are

There are many potential lessons to be learned from this recent tragedy in which a teenage girl committed suicide after apparently being sexually assaulted by her classmates:

Many of her peers apparently were aware of the facts, but few if any came forward. Why?

I've seen plenty of videos online which show people taking cell phone pictures of other people who are being attacked, beaten, robbed, or worse. Few stop to help.

How did our children become like this? We'd better find out and help them do something about it.
