Good essay by Glenn Greenwald contrasting China's fidelity to due process with America's "murder by drone" campaign:

By the way, Burma and Afghanistan are the world's centers for opium production. Was this action by China an attempt to stop drug trafficking or to bring it under their control? In Afghanistan, at least, there are thousands of US troops stationed to guard the opium fields to guarantee the continuity of our supply.
After all, how would our banks survive if they had no drug money to launder? How could we keep people in our inner cities under control if their drug habits weren't ruling their lives? How come Obama ad-Dajjal didn't notice any of this? Oh, I forgot: he did, but he's in bed with the ruling class so he's not going to rock their boat.
