But according to this report, US production of tritium to fuel nuclear weapons has ramped up to unprecedented levels:

I used to work at SRS, and my office was right next to that of the New Production Reactor, a tritium producing facility which never got built.
Since tritium for weapons is now harvested from "civilian" power reactors, we need to ask if the recent move to declare nuclear power "green" is really related to climate change or is just a sneaky way to keep the nuclear arms race alive at reduced cost.
