Being a fellow former submarine officer, I have some respect for Jimmy Carter. But reading his op-ed left me with the impression that he's either senile or just another puppet of the regime. The things he talks about are the fantasy version of the USA, not the real world machinations of the bums who run this place. A phony democracy is no democracy at all, and that's all we now have. Their efforts to "preserve" it are going to destroy it for good. If you cannot see that, Jimmy, you're not worth listening to.
