Is it any wonder they wield such political and financial power?
All these nations have the power to tax the tech giants, but if they tax them at all it's usually just a drop in the bucket. Why is that?
The nations collectively provide all the military and social services in the world, but the largest corporations (which control most of the world's wealth) don't contribute much to such expenditures. How long can nations survive with no tax revenue?
And do the central banks even care? This will end with a bunch of bankrupt nations and a lot of happy bankers.
