Laredo Mayor Pete Saenz, who leads the Texas Border Commission, said the Trump administration has, in part, used his community to fabricate the threat of migrants traveling north.
“They want to be overly protective,” Saenz told ABC News. “But at what cost? The cost to the local economy. The cost to our livelihoods here at the border area.”

Trump has not "fabricated" anything. That verb is the property of those who want open borders.
Q: What, pray tell, is "the cost to the local economy" of which he speaks?
A: I would guess it's the ability for local businesses to use cheap labor and to conduct trade which bypasses legal restrictions (in other words, they profit by breaking the law).
I am not against change. I am in favor of obeying existing laws and following our Constitution. If you want change that would violate the existing US Constitution, then amend it.
But you won't, because you don't have the votes ... and in reality you HATE democracy.
