Here are three things which almost guarantee future clashes over the federal budget:
(1) It now costs more to borrow money:

(2) The incoming Democrat congress will be pushing for a Green New Deal (i.e., more government spending):

(3) The only reasonable way to reconcile those two factors is to slash our bloated military budget.
Conclusion? If you thought politics in DC were contentious and chaotic, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Great idea, and long overdue; but can he make it work? It won't be easy.
Is Trump "inept", as some claim? Perhaps, but we have a Congress which cannot balance its budget, refuses to cut back our bloated military, will not defend our borders, will not fund a single payer health care system, and doesn't appear to have a vision for our future ... other than to allow globalist oligarchs to have their way.
