The Saudis have been a key player in keeping the US dollar from collapsing. If and when more nations stop trading oil and other goods in dollars, our economy will collapse like a punctured soufflé.
If we do disconnect from the Saudis, we better do it gingerly and with thoughtful planning, not in hurried response to this alleged murder of a journalist.
