Amelia's Airplane

Here is a VERY interesting analysis of that famous photo of Amelia and Fred, which seems to reveal where her plane is located:

However, I do have one problem with the analysis: there is no visible boom on the front of that freighter. So how was the plane lifted up to that position?

By the way, I agree with the author's comments about FDR. He betrayed the two fliers, and he betrayed the USA at Pearl Harbor.
