The War Powers Resolution

Some warmongers are trying to justify Trump's strike on Syria by saying the US Constitution gives him such authority as Commander-in-Chief. This is a falsehood, as can be proven by a read of the War Powers Resolution of 1973. Here is the pertinent clause:

50 U.S. Code § 1541 (c) Presidential executive power as Commander-in-Chief; limitation

The constitutional powers of the President as Commander-in-Chief to introduce United States Armed Forces into hostilities, or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances, are exercised only pursuant to (1) a declaration of war, (2) specific statutory authorization, or (3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces.

President Trump clearly violated this limitation.

You can find the entire resolution here:

The power to wage war does not belong to the National Security Council or the MSM.

There's only one way to properly address this - impeach Trump and arrest his generals and admirals for war crimes, and the neocons and members of the MSM for incitement.
