Fighting ISIS Genocide

Many conservative Christians use the language of martyrdom when describing atrocities of the Islamic State. That deep concern for persecuted Christians led to 'a very American debate' about genocide.

Arguably, what ISIS is doing in the Middle East includes the martyrdom of Christians.

But isn't that what the New Testament predicts will happen? Here are some of the pertinent scriptures:

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
Matthew 24:9 KJV

And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Revelation 6:9-11 KJV

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Revelation 13:7 KJV

The Bible clearly predicts that MUCH WORSE is yet to come.

Yet it seems to me that Pope Francis, Patriarch Kirill, and our allegedly Christian-motivated Congress are doing things which counteract the will of G-d.

Is that a good idea? I don't think so. Our religious and political leaders are leading us into a trap.

What should we be doing? The Bible says to love those who persecute you, to persevere to the end, and to not take the mark of the beast. Make sure these things are at the top of your list.
