Rooting Out Racism ???

Here is an essay on rooting out racist symbols in the US:

It leaves out (at least) two important factors:

(1) All of The Founders eventually signed the Constitution. The institutionalized racism which stemmed from that document shames them all. I am not aware that anyone in either North or South voluntarily gave up the wealth derived from US slavery.

(2) Our so-called "foreign policy" is based upon the same racist principles as the "American way of life". It won't do much good to "abolish" racism in America if we are exporting it in another form to the entire world.
