Give Malta Your Tired and Huddled, and Rich

Malta is now selling citizenship to the rich:

Instead of allowing the rich to flee to tax havens along with their ill-gotten gains, we should confiscate their loot at the border.

Wouldn't that be fair?

Allowing capital flight without penalty is one of the BIGGEST mistakes of the modern era. Much of that capital represents national obligations transferred into personal hands who then flee those national obligations. Smart for them, dumb for us.
