Don't Touch Russian Water

Apparently the water in Sochi is dangerous to even touch:

This is not a new thing.

I visited Russia in 1987, when life was still pretty good for the average Russky. The Soviet state was in decline, but perestroika had not yet ruined their economy.

We were warned to bring our own toilet paper and to not drink the water. In Leningrad they have a giardia lamblia problem (intestinal parasite) which can really mess you up.

Their food was of poor quality and shoddily prepared, and as a tourist I'm sure I was eating better than the average Russian.

The Russian oligarchs are doing quite well, but for their 99.99% life must be horrible.
