They all risked their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor so that you and I could be free.

On the other hand, what do these people have in common?

They enriched themselves while erecting a police state apparatus whose goals are the OPPOSITE of freedom.

Many of those on the first list were put to death for their efforts. Those on the second list put other people to death.

Are we free? It doesn't look that way to me.

Do we want to be free? It doesn't look that way to me, either.

What do these words mean today?

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

To the rich, these are the words they live by. When THEY dislike something about government, they alter or abolish it as they see fit. They are only concerned about justice, safety, and happiness for themselves.

To the rest of us, these words are a sick joke from a bygone era. And nobody has the balls to do anything about it.

No guts, no glory ... no freedom.
