Who Is Reasonsible For School Shootings ???

This piece asks an interesting question - is the school responsible when a shooting takes place?

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/12/04/us/oxford-high-school-responsibility-legal.html

The various potential guilty parties include:

  • the alleged shooter
  • the parents
  • any sibliings
  • the school
  • classmates
  • the police
  • the gun merchant
  • video game merchants
  • the MSM
  • social media
  • the Internet in general
  • society as a whole

Right now, everyone appears to be focusing on the parents and making excuses why no one else should be held accountable (except perhaps the gun merchant). Why is everyone else on the above list getting a free pass?

US schools have become a toxic environment within the larger dystopia of our nation at large. To blame this all on three people (shooter and parents) and the gun merchant is absurd. And not only that, doing so will virtually guarantee no lasting solution will be found.

Face it ... if we accept the premise that "it takes a village" to raise our children, then the village is (at least in part) responsible when that process goes awry.
