Today there is no Abe Lincoln and no Ulysses Grant to hold us together. And the federal government is more or less broke, and probably not able to sustain a war against the modern secessionists.
We are being driven apart. I think we soon shall see how far we can stretch before the whole thing comes apart.
If the US does disintegrate, will it be along these lines?
I'm not so sure about that, but if it does I'm staying in the Republic of Texas.
