I think this is a great idea. This is a democracy, right? We do have a responsibility to keep our government honest, don't we?
So called "reporters" who claim Governor Abbott is endorsing "fringe views" have completely lost sight of the role of the press in a democracy. They should report the facts, and let We The People make the decisions. And just because the US government won't "allow" them to report on JADE HELM 15 does not relieve them of their responsibility to investigate and report to us exactly what these "exercises" are all about. A free press does not need government permission to do its job.
