Is The US Constitution Still In Effect ???

I recently finished reading The Road to 9/11: Wealth, Empire, and the Future of America by Peter Dale Scott:

This is an excellent book which I highly recommend. Don't be put off by its length (~450 pages), because almost half of it is notes and references.

After reading this book, it became even more clear to me that not only did the US have adequate warning that 9/11 was going to happen, but various agencies of the US government had been actively supporting the people whom we are told were responsible for the attacks. At some level at least, 9/11 undeniably was "an inside job". This is not a claim Scott makes in the book, but the circumstantial evidence he provides for it is compelling.

One of the most interesting aspects of Scott's work is that he is one of the few major writers who consistently brings up the issue of Continuity of Government (COG) measures:

COG was put into effect on 9/11/2001, and the official state of emergency which ensued is still active, having been renewed each time it was about to expire.

According to some, including Scott, COG measures include authority to suspend the US Constitution and substitute rule by decree and/or martial law in its place.

Most of the things people read and write about what is happening in the US today (e.g., NSA spying, the introduction of drones and military robots, the militarization of our police, etc.) assume that the US Constitution is still in effect. That explains why we are so aghast at what is happening. Over and over, pundits and bloggers say "but the Constitution doesn't allow this ... "

I've got news for you: the Constitution has been officially bypassed. Obama ad-Dajjal can do whatever he wants. The issue (and resulting dangers) of COG first entered the public arena during the Iran-Contra hearings. It was not adequately addressed then, and has not been adequately addressed ever since. It may even be the case that Congress and the public are not "authorized" to know what the COG measures are, since we all are potential enemies of the homeland security state which is seeking to protect itself against us.

When you consider the fact that even the White House website admits to the existence of a "shadow government", it's way past time for us to ask what the hell is going on, who is really in charge, and what powers do they think they have?

I think the answers to those questions would amaze most of us.
