Snowden: The Work of a Generation

NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden's words were entered as testimony at the European Parliament's Civil Liberties Committee in Brussels on Monday. You can read them here:

Three people have truly made their lives into a counter friction to stop The Machine that enslaves us:
  • Julian Assange - Indefinite self-imprisonment in London, subject to prosecution for espionage
  • Bradley Chelsea Manning - Sentenced to 35 years imprisonment and a dishonorable discharge
  • Edward Snowden - Self-exile in Russia, subject to prosecution for espionage and treason

The Machine lacks compassion, and real saints eventually get crucified. Thankfully, some still take up the struggle on our behalf. Wouldn't it be nice if we rewarded them for their efforts with something other than draconian punishment?
