And the rocket's red glare ...

The words to our national anthem were inspired during a visit by Francis Scott Key to the British fleet off Baltimore in 1814. Key was on a mission to obtain the release of a prisoner being held on one of the British ships.

Now, in a similar situation, the US is holding its latest kidnap victim on a ship somewhere off the Libyan coast:

Libya has asked that this man who was unlawfully detained be returned to them. Do you suppose the US would allow the Libyan version of Francis Scott Key to visit their fleet? Probably not.

Might not the Libyan or even the Muslim world's version of "The Star Spangled Banner" be inspired by what we are doing in North Africa? To us, they are all terrorists. To their friends, to their families, and to their nations, don't you suppose that at least some of them are heroes?
