If it is, and/or a significant portion of the population thinks it is, this nation-state won't last much longer in its current form.

And most of you are not going to like its replacement.

By the way, have you ever read the Communist Manifesto of 1848? Here are a few of its principles:

(21) What will be the influence of communist society on the family?

It will transform the relations between the sexes into a purely private matter which concerns only the persons involved and into which society has no occasion to intervene. It can do this since it does away with private property and educates children on a communal basis, and in this way removes the two bases of traditional marriage – the dependence rooted in private property, of the women on the man, and of the children on the parents.

All religions so far have been the expression of historical stages of development of individual peoples or groups of peoples. But communism is the stage of historical development which makes all existing religions superfluous and brings about their disappearance.

Sound familiar? It should.

Much of what Marx and Engels espoused is being enacted in the West, and I think there will be a deluge of this kind of stuff when Trump and his MAGA aberration are gone.

And interestingly, private property for the poor and middle class will indeed be abolished, with the super rich remaining as the only actual "owners" of everything. So ... we'll get the worst aspects of capitalism AND communism all at the same time.

Are you happy now? You should be, since most of you have devoted your lives to bringing this crap to fruition.

And by the way, this is why my respect for the US military has dwindled. Instead of actually defending the USA, they have allowed themselves to be diverted into endless battles in distant quagmires which have NOTHING to do with our security (other than the fact they serve to degrade it).
