The people of Burlington, VT voted to keep AF fighter jets out of their city. But the political establishment wants them there:

There is no conceivable threat which would require such aircraft to be based in that region. Using 9/11 as a guide, we already know the US Air Force won't do a damn thing to protect us from attack.
Maybe if we ALL said no to war it would stop.
Or maybe they'd just start making war on us.
