According to this essay, US schools destroy children's freedom:

So what? Isn't that at least partly necessary if our schools are to impart accepted knowledge? Or is everything old school supposed to be tossed out the window?
The sort of chaos modern thinking seems to equate with "freedom" has its place. But I don't believe that place is at the top.
