Where Are Hawaii's Humpback Whales ???

December usually marks the start of humpback whale season in Hawaii, but experts say the animals have been slow to return this year.

The giant whales are an iconic part of winter on the islands and a source of income for tour operators. But officials at the Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary said they've been getting reports that the whales have been difficult to spot so far.

Not mentioned in the report are three additional possible factors:

1. Radioactive contamination from the Fukushima nuclear disaster

2. Debris from the tidal wave which caused that disaster

3. The huge amount of plastic and chemicals from other sources which now contaminate our oceans

And it's not just whales which are being affected:

Before I start to believe the climate change loonies, they are going to have to show some concern for all the other factors which are killing life in our oceans.

If the oceans die, we die.
