The Birther Issue

A Houston attorney is suing Senator Ted Cruz to demonstrate he is NOT a natural born citizen and therefore ineligible to be US President. You can read about it here:

What should be clear is that absolutely NO ONE did any official verification of Obama's eligibility, and that such verification is still not done officially by ANYONE in this country.

That is not only sad, it is stupid.

Dear America: We have a good Constitution - FOLLOW IT.

By the way, what should have happened in Obama's case is clearly specified in the Constitution:

20th Amendment

3: If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President. If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.

Obviously this requirement of the Constitution, like so many others, was not followed.

Is this because the Constitution was suspended on 9/11, or because people like Nancy Pelosi just refuse to follow it?

Whatever the case, all the people associated with this omission are disgusting.
