Dallas, TX has made it illegal for churches to provide shelter to the poor, even when such shelter would prevent them from freezing to death:
"Chapter 51A of the Dallas Development Code bans overnight shelters within 1,000 feet of a church, school, park, or other entity, preventing places of worship and virtually anyone else from offering aid."

This appears to be at odds with Texas's gun-toting, Bible-thumping public image.
If we REALLY had "separation of church and state", such laws would not exist.
If we REALLY were a "Christian nation", there would not be so many poor and homeless in our cities, either.
What do you think?
