In a very real sense, we DO exist separate from our "legal" and our "virtual" selves. But does it really matter any more? The US corporatocracy monitors our virtual selves 24/7 and continually builds and rebuilds those selves on the basis of associations and friendships gleaned from that monitoring, in ways that our "true" selves are seldom fully aware.

Virtual you is becoming the only you that matters, and clearly it is one that the "real" you does NOT own.

Should this alarm us? You betcha.
