Police and marshals went to the home of Ricky Boyd in January to arrest him on the suspicion he had killed Balil Whitfield.
They shot and killed Boyd, later saying he came at them with a gun. That "gun" was discovered to be a BB gun:

So here's a question for you - if all Boyd had was a BB gun, how could he have murdered Whitfield, who was shot with a real gun? Has anyone tied the original murder weapon to Boyd?
I have no idea what really happened here, but apparently the police don't, either.
