- Saddam destroyed all of his WMDs;
- The US said he didn't;
- The US invaded on the pretext that he didn't;
- No one found any WMDs;
- But Saddam was killed anyway, and his country destroyed.
Now the following is happening in Syria:
- Assad destroyed all of his chemical weapons;
- The US said he didn't;
- The US has now bombed Syria on the pretext that he didn't;
- We're still looking for non-existent (?) Syrian chemical weapons;
- An invasion of Syria is pending, which will add to the already widespread destruction of that once-flourishing nation;
- And sooner or later, they're going to kill Assad, too.
Abe Lincoln once said "You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."
He was wrong. Just about everyone in the US can be fooled over and over again, as our thirst for blood is never slaked.
And the amazing part is that so-called Christians seem to top the list of bloodthirsty Americans. Why is that? Syria lived in peace with Christianity for centuries ... until we stepped in and released the Muslim crazies on them.
There are a few people who are not fooled, but no one is listening to them:
