Apparently the missing CDC researcher's body has been found in the Chattahoochee River:

I don't think he voluntarily went swimming. Here's one of the warnings about doing such a thing:
The Chattahoochee River contains a number of hydroelectric dams along its path. Frequent water releases from the dams make swimming downstream dangerous. As the current increases and the water level rises, it's difficult to control your swimming. The surface of the river is placid for long stretches, making it hard to tell how swift the current becomes or how quickly the water rises. If you're near a dam, you'll hear the water-release warning sirens and see calm water turn into riffling waves or rapids, but further downstream the warnings may not be so audible or visible. Also, the water can be frigid after a water release, even in summer, and hypothermia could set in for swimmers. Many drownings have occurred on the Chattahoochee after water releases. Never go swimming alone or without a flotation device in this river. Check with local authorities about current water conditions and only take float trips with licensed outfitters.

So did he commit suicide, or did someone dump his body there? Merely stating that no "foul play" is suspected doesn't cut it.
And why were we fed the BS that he was depressed over the lack of a promotion? I'm really getting tired of so-called news reporters who such do a crappy job.
