Militias, Then and Now

Militias were an important factor in the American Revolution. We still celebrate their victories at Lexington and Concord.

But what do we think of them now?

Americans used to feel safe because they were surrounded by armed militias of their neighbors.

Now they claim to feel safe because they are surrounded by armed gangs of government thugs (just like it was before the revolution).
