The lesson of militarized police in Honduras

Good story from the "Upside Down World" website:

http://upsidedownworld.org/main/honduras-archives-46/4495-re-militarizing-the-police-turning-the-clock-back-in-honduras

The war on drugs, which is essentially a US war against everyone else (including the drug cartels without whom our banking system would have collapsed), is getting ready to crush poor Honduras.

As the authors ask:

Someone needs to get the story straight: who is the enemy here, really?

Are these militarized police going to be turned loose on drug dealers ... or drug users? Is the enemy the supply ... or the demand?
