The dollar-based IMF system is unstable

This is the claim made in a recent article in the Financial Times entitled "Dollar-based system is inherently unstable" by Ousmène Mandeng:

And when the dollar comes down off its pedestal, the US economy will go right down the toilet. Our "glory days" are just about over.


But our descent into Hell is just beginning.

By the way, this particular Mr. Lincoln was one of the founders of the Lincoln Electric Company, where my father worked most of his life. Lincoln was a contemporary of FDR and a strong critic of his economic policies.
