Uranium For Ukraine

Westinghouse is doing a big nuclear energy deal with Ukraine:

After the Vogtle fiasco, I'm sure they could use the money.

A former direct report of mine used to be their head of international licensing. He's no longer with Westinghouse, so I can't get the skinny from him on what this deal is really about. Darn.

And if that deal weren't enough, some of our allies also are sending depleted uranium to Ukraine:

This is NOT such a good deal, for at least two reasons:

  • if used against Russian tanks inside Ukraine, it will contaminate the environment for ages; and
  • the Russians may see this as a direct attack by NATO (which it is), and retaliate in kind.

Enjoy life while you can. We all may soon be living (and dying) under a mushroom cloud. Thanks, "Joe Biden".
