Almost all mass shooters I've heard of made threats to commit violence before actually shooting anyone, and those threats were known to the authorities. Why then did no one intervene, when it appears they already had the authority to do so? I suspect it's because they wanted the shooting to happen. And don't tell me they didn't know, because they're monitoring everyone all the time and have been for quite a while.
In my view, any new gun laws are NOT intended to stop mass shootings. They're intended to disarm the US public. Why your government would do such a thing is anyone's guess, but as always you can expect the worst from them.
In spite of what they say, TPTB seldom have your best interests in mind.
