This essay discusses why Turkey doesn't want Finland and Sweden to join NATO:
The way this reads to me is that Turkey's demands are similar to Russia's demands about Ukraine - get rid of the terrorists in your midst and stay neutral.
The simplest solution is for all three countries - Finland, Sweden, and Ukraine - to do what Russia and Turkey want. Doing so would cost them little or nothing.
But Uncle Sam doesn't want that, so don't expect it to happen. War Is Peace, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
