There is a similar controversy regarding the legitimacy of President Biden of the US. In a sense that's what the so-called 1/6 hearings are all about.

But note the difference: anti-Lukashenko demonstrators are hailed as heroes, while pro-Trump demonstrators are regarded as "rioters" and "insurrectionists".

Personally I think the US is not qualified to rule on the legitimacy of elections in Belarus, any more than it is to rule on its own elections. In my view, Joe Biden's inauguration was as much a "thieves' meeting" as was Lukashenko's.

But that's just me, considering all of the available evidence - something the US Congress apparently refuses to do.

• But since Mexico's rate is barely self-sustaining at 2.1, won't mass migration to the US deplete that nation's population?
• This data appears to support the "replacement theory", although it may have nothing to do with white supremacy or any desire of the Democratic Party to kill off their rivals.

I reject the suggestion that Donald Trump had much to do with any of this. Both armies acted this way long before Trump arrived on the scene, and both have gotten worse since he left office.

Suspicion (SPOILER ALERT)

Yesterday I finished watching Season 1 of the Apple TV series Suspicion. I found it very entertaining, but troubling.

It's another "climate change" potboiler, and I want to point out some of the fantasies/factual errors on which it's based.

It mentions the effects of CC on Syria, but leaves out the fact that Syria's problems stem from the dams built by Turkey on the Euphrates River and the massive destruction of Syria caused by the US, NATO, and Israel.

It also mentions the effects of CC on food production, but leaves out the fact the US and its allies have weaponized food and upset global food production/distribution via sanctions, lockdowns, and wars.

The most troubling aspect of the series involves the claims that oil companies have sought to negate climate change facts via multiple dis/misinformation tactics. If we were to be honest about the COVID-19 "pandemic", we'd admit that the WHO, the NIH, Bill Gates, Fauci, and others played a similar role in that they prevented early treatment using existing drugs and essentially shut down scientific discourse about SARS-CoV-2 to promote THEIR version of reality. How is that different from what oil companies allegedly did to the CC discussion?

It's funny (but also sad) that the very same people who support the CC narrative cannot see that "Joe Biden" is a mentally defective doddering old fool incapable of holding public office. If they're so cognitively impaired they cannot see his failings, why should we believe their CC narrative? Might they not have that right either?

In case you haven't noticed the backlog of container ships sitting off our ports, much of the stuff we consume comes here by boat. According to some reports, it now costs more to bring it here than the shippers make from the transaction. Won't the higher costs for decarbonized transport will make that situation even worse?

Of course, neither the Chinese nor the Russians are likely to decarbonize their ships any time soon, but that may not help us since the US sanctions against them are likely to get even stricter.

Imagine a US without Chinese-made goods. It's not that easy, since they make just about everything we consume.

Considering all the hoopla about how nuclear power is "green", does it make sense to shut down the Palisades plant?

The Zimmer plant was designed by General Electric, and had it been completed as a turnkey project by GE it would have cost less than $ 250 million. But thanks to Three Mile Island and claims of "shoddy construction", the cost ballooned out of sight and the plant was converted to coal.

I worked for GE Nuclear at the time, and two of my coworkers were assigned to the Zimmer project. They left to drive from Oklahoma to Cincinnati on the weekend the decision was made to cancel the project, and they found the gates locked when they reported to work that Monday.

In my view, the interference of the NRC following TMI destroyed projects like Zimmer and Shoreham but did NOT make the remaining nuclear plants that much safer. And all the current talk about how future designs will be more "advanced" and "safer" have as much credibility as the claim that COVID mRNA injectable products are "safe and effective".

Yes, the US electric grid is being mismanaged ... BADLY. The true impact of that fact will not be felt until the blackouts start, and then the REAL problem will be revealed - the US government is 100% behind the global move to force We the People off all sources of cheap electricity.

"Joe Biden" and his ilk will tell you "no pain, no gain". As far as I'm concerned, the real situation will be "yes pain, and still no gain".

Don't forget, we're just "useless people". Our wants and needs don't matter.
