Any honest assessment would conclude that we're in this mess because of the actions and inactions of governments and corporations. Why then should we trust THEM to come up with the solutions?

Yes they're going to hold us hostage, but I'll be damned if I'm going to accept any plan which doesn't originate from We the People and which results in a small number of "stakeholders" owning everything and calling the rest of us "useless people".
