Here is a report about alleged faults in the IAEA safeguards program:
Several years ago, the DOE scrapped its existing tracking program and replaced it with a new one. In spite of GAO recommendations, they failed to verify the new program tracked with the old, failed to ensure adequate security, and had no idea whether or not the contractor had put digital back doors into the system.
So, I find it hard to get worked up about this latest report when the US system apparently is just as screwed up. How much you want to bet that the Israelis benefited from the DOE's apparent sloppiness? They appear to roam our IT systems at will and with impunity.
