In my view, so-called dark matter is the equivalent of the "aether" which the Michelson-Morley experiment appears to have proven does not exist.
I predict that some day another ground-breaking experiment will prove that "dark matter" does not exist either.
By the way, there is (or was) a marker commemorating the site of that famous experiment on the Case Western Reserve University campus. I stood on that spot about 50 years ago.
