By now you may have heard of all the problems being experienced by the new F-35s. If not, you can read about them here:
http://www.businessinsider.com/here-are-all-the-problems-with-the-f-35-that-the-pentagon-found-in-a-2014-report-2015-3
But for some reason, Israel is willing to buy them (using money we gave them, of course). You can read about it here:
http://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/The-F-35-is-about-to-transform-Israels-air-capabilities-457186
This brings up some interesting questions, such as:
1. Why would the Israelis want such a pig-in-a-poke?
2. Do the Israelis think they can FIX these lemons? If so, why can't we fix them, too?
3. Or is it possible Israeli agents are responsible for the reports about the airplane's problems? Did they exaggerate the bad news so they could get the planes at a discount price?
Whatever the case, why does Israel need such advanced aircraft? Most of their enemies have been bombed into the stone age, and the rest are no match for the planes the Israelis already have. The only possible use they could have for such planes (other than using them to shoot fish in a barrel) is to defend against China, the EU, and Russia.
In other words, to maintain their impunity.
