Here is a brilliant photo essay showing how well Syrians lived under Assad's "autocracy" compared to the utter destruction of their nation wrought by Obama ad-Dajjal's NATO-inspired "democracy":

As is the case with Gaza, no one is going to rebuild Syria for the benefit of its former inhabitants (the so-called migrants). Someday it will become a playground for Israelis, just like what is happening in the West Bank:

See? There's a silver lining in every cloud, unless you happen to be a nonexistent so-called Palestinian.
By the way, check this out:
Genocide is defined in Article 2 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (1948) as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."

Oh ... I forgot: international law and the UN don't count for shit in the US and Israel. They are a law unto themselves.
