We're In The Endgame

After 30 years of success, the endgame is finally here. We are witnessing a profound secular sea-change: the failure of expanding debt and leverage to lift the real economy of wages and household income.

We keep getting told that unemployment is down, when it's only "down" because they no longer count the tens of millions of us who will never have a job again.

We're now living in a three-tiered world:

• the one percent,
• the temporarily employed, and
• the permanently unemployed.

The top tier is the only one that really counts, since they own the government and most of the wealth. The middle tier does okay because the one percenters need them (at least for now), but soon most of them will be replaced by robots and slip into the lower tier.

Those of us in the lower tier are in a precarious situation. The one percenters can't kill us off yet, but they're looking feverishly for an acceptable way to do so. Once they find it, we're toast. Literally.
