You may not have noticed, but sometime in the past year or so "scientists" increased the age of the universe from 13.8 billion years to 26.7 billion:

You can believe all the "dark matter" and "dark energy" crap you want, but the real reason for this new theory is that the James Webb and Hubble telescopes keep discovering stars and galaxies which are OLDER than the previous theories can explain:

Realistically, I think they don't know what they're doing ... and won't until a totally new theory of everything comes along. "Big Bang" is starting to look more and more like BS, at least in its current form. In the meantime, they'll keep feeding us gibberish to justify their expensive new equipment and bloated salaries.
