Stopping The Fentanyl Flood

Here is an essay which asks an important question:

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/fentanyl-flood-us-why-cant-we-make-it-stop

The suggested solutions are:

  • place sanctions on China, and
  • seal our borders.

Sounds good, right? But aren't those the very things Trump tried to do (although for different reasons) but was resisted tooth and nail by TPTB?

If you want the flood of drugs to stop, the following must be done (at a minimum):

  • punish those in the US who support and benefit from drug trafficking (i.e., various politicians and bankers);
  • if necessary, invade the strongholds of the drug traffickers and put them out of business ("from the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli"); and
  • give US citizens who take or are likely to take drugs a reason to stop (e.g., a meaningful goal in life).

We need strong deeds, not just more weasel words.
