The Real Significance Of The DNC Hack

Here's what is being reported in the media:

There once was a political party that portrayed itself as the savior of the common man. Then Wikileaks published the truth.

The Wikileaks dump of over 20,000 emails from inside the Democrat National Committee is a clear demonstration of cyber-warfare at its finest. The dump is filled with gruesome, racist, money-grubbing details from inside the DNC. It also is filled with hints of why the DNC was hacked as well as how careless they were with donor data.

For example, the DNC dump contains over 100 files with spreadsheets attached to them. These spreadsheets contain over 10,000 donors names, addresses, work phone, home phone, email address, amount of donations and employer data. The lists exposed highlighted donors who kicked in $10,000 or more to the DNC. This kind of data is a treasure trove of for hackers, scammers, con-artists and criminals. Expect a wave of cyber-attacks to be launched upon these donors with stolen privacy, fake credit cards, spam emails and scams galore.

But wait ... there's more.

Some of the spreadsheets contain not only basic donor data but details such as Social Security (SSN) numbers and dates of birth. These details are pure mana from the devil himself to hackers. Clearly, the major donors who appeared on the DNC spreadsheets with their personal data and SSN are now very vulnerable to privacy thieves, hackers and a vast array of dark criminals.

The data on the DNC spreadsheets was not password protected but the spreadsheets themselves were secured with a password - which we were able to break in about 2 seconds. The security settings invoked by the clueless DNC staff was to lock out changes to certain spreadsheet fields - no doubt to protect against un-paid interns from entering invalid data in the SSN area. Clearly, the DNC staff was more concerned with getting the money that protecting its clients.

Now here is the real significance of the hack - this server had roughly the same security as Hillary's private server (i.e., next to none). This means that whatever was on her server also probably was hacked. She DID in fact damage our national security, and I can see no reason whatever why she was not indicted (other than corruption in the FBI and DOJ).
