Gaza v. Rikers Island

Here is an eyewitness account of what it's like to be incarcerated on Rikers Island, New York:

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/24/opinion/cecily-mcmillan-on-brutality-and-humiliation-on-rikers-island.html

I urge you to read it and then think about the following: The people imprisoned in Gaza are subject to everything Ms. McMillan experienced plus shelling plus bombing plus long-term withholding of food and water plus destruction of their homes plus arbitrary detention of their children and other relatives plus arbitrary withholding of their funds plus whatever else their Israeli prison guards feel like doing.

And from what I've heard, the Gaza guards are just as arbitrary and vindictive as the ones at Rikers Island; perhaps even more so.

I can see why Americans don't care about Gaza. We don't even have the basic humanity it takes to care about our own neighbors.

Now, I know that G-d does not approve of what goes on at Rikers Island. Does anyone think He approves of what goes on in Gaza?
